If a doctor recommends you, (or to someone of your family) to take surgery in order to solve a physical problem or disease, make sure that what the doctor tells is given in writing.
If the doctor refuses, then it is clear that he is not sure about the operation he recommends.
This written document, in case it is signed, will constitute your contract.
It is your proof that confirms what he has recommended.
